This jacket is made from 100% midweight cotton and is relaxed fit and unstructured.  It has a notched style open collar, and curved edges on the front to soften the style, and a straight edge along the back.  The jacket does not have any additional tailoring or panelling/contouring.  It is unlined and has a partial facing along the front opening and the back of the collar, with a light interfacing in the collar and front of the jacket to help maintain it’s structure.

The jacket has a long 6.5cm hem at the end of each sleeve, wherethe fabric design is sewn on the inside, to allow you to fold up the cuff to wear as a 7/8 style, or you can keep the cuffs folded down for a full length style.

Available in sizes 4-26.  (see sizing chart link at top of page)

The cotton Jacket is made from 100% cotton and the jersey jacket (not yet released) is made from 95% cotton 5% lycra and fabric is digitally printed exclusively for Kablooie Store.

I work hard to ensure colours are represented accurately on screen. However, please remember at times colours can look different depending on the device and screen you are viewing them on.

All Pockets are a paid customisation for this jacket – you can add either one slanted welt pockets into the jacket, one one side, or two pockets, one on each side.  You can also choose paid customisations to add some length to the jacket, up to 10cm on request to make it a longer line jacket, or reduce the length of the jacket to be a cropped style (this is a paid option as it does require some work on the pattern each time to do this for you)

Customise your Kablooie – Once you know your size, you can choose it and add to cart. You can also choose to customise your jacket to suit you, with some set options.  You’re an individual, so your jacket should work for you.  Here are the FREE options, which you can request using the notes box:

Please note I will contact you if your request needs more information or can’t be completed.

Questions: I’m not familiar with your sizing – what happens if my garment doesn’t fit me?

Answer: My sizing is generous and the styles of my pieces are intended to be relaxed rather than fitted or tailored.  My sizing page provides the dimensions of  my garments from samples we have sewn up and where possible, a video showing the style on me.  However, I do know online shopping can be tricky, and I have a pretty brilliant ‘Try Before You Buy’ option available for anyone to use.  Just go to the ‘Try Before You Buy‘ product, select the sizes you want to try on and add to cart.  The Try on itself is free, it will only cost you the postage to send them out to you, and the cost of you posting them back.  You can try them on in your own home, and also request a free 15 minute zoom fitting with me if you need more help. Many customers have already found this so helpful and I hope you do too!

If you live overseas, I’m happy to refund you some of the postage back to me (I know it can be expensive) as a voucher with your purchase – just email me to request it (hello@kablooiestore.com.au)

Question: I’m not sure how to customise or change the jacket, what options will work for me?

Answer: The more complex a pattern, the less customisations you can easily make to it, but there are still some easy things you can do to customise your jacket.  It’s all about making small changes so it works for you.  I can add a little length or take a little length off of the sleeves if you’re concerned about length.  I can also make the jacket longer or shorter like a cropped jacket (this is paid option due to extra complexity), and add either one or two slanted welt pockets to the front of the jacket  (this is a paid option due to additional sewing, cutting and ironing time).  Check out what these options look like in the link up the top, and then make sure you tick the options you’d like so they are added to the price of the garment when you check out.  Ask for the available free options in the notes box.

Question: What do I do if the jacket is out of stock?

Answer: As each piece is handmade to order, stock numbers online are based on fabric available.  To get a notification as soon as more fresh and fabulous fabric is delivered, go to the top of this product page, choose your size and you’ll be given the option to request a back in stock email. You’ll receive an instant alert email as soon as stock is added online before anyone else knows!

Question: How long will the jacket take to arrive?

Answer: As each piece is hand-cut and made to order, your new jacket will take an average of 3 weeks to complete, and then will be posted out to you. This timeframe may vary, depending on the number of orders we are working on, particularly after a new product launch.

Question: How do I look after this jacket?

Answer: The cotton jacket is 100% cotton, and jersey jackets are 95% organic cotton and 5% lycra  and can be washed in a cold gentle machine wash, and dried in the shade. Colours do not run and are fade resistant. Care instructions are included on the product tag for your convenience (on the lower side hem). Your jacket should not need to be washed after each wear, as it is intended as an outer garment.

Tip: For longest life, I recommend you flick wrinkles out of your wet jacket straight after washing, hang to dry in the shade, and use a hot iron to get a crisp, beautiful finish to the cotton (yeah, we both know you’re not gonna use the iron but hey. It was worth a try!).

If you’re ready to amp up your style and supercharge your happiness, this jacket is kinda the answer to all of your colour dreams. Make it yours today.
